Brigitta Santegoeds paints from her intuition. She often uses blue as a basis for her paintings.
This way the feeling with an object, person or other subject becomes the source of inspiration for her to start painting. Her paintings mostly have an expressionistic appearance. Bright colours and strong brushstrokes alternate with soft shapes. Abstract shapes are composed together with figurative ones. In this way colourful paintings come to life that lead you to a world as seen through the eyes of the artist. Brigitta Santegoeds studied at the ‘Academie Beeldende Kunsten’ in Maastricht '94 - '99, her major subject was Monumental Art.
